Founded in 1985, AWAM is an independent feminist non-profit organization dedicated to advancing women’s rights in Malaysia. Through advocacy, education, and support services, we empower individuals and communities to combat gender-based violence and discrimination.

Building Awareness & Empowering Communities
AWAM offers impactful training programs to educate individuals, organizations, and institutions on gender-based violence, equality, and empowerment. We also provide specialized services, including legal information and well-being counseling, to support survivors.
HELPLINE & OUTREACH
Support for Survivors
AWAM’s Telenita Helpline provides free legal information and well-being counseling for survivors of gender-based violence. We also connect those in need with relevant service providers across Malaysia.
